2nd Grade

     Our Second Grade Class here at Rose of Lima School is designed to engage the body, mind and soul of each student in the Roman Catholic Tradition.  Second Grade is the time where we try to take all the basic skills learned in our core subjects and begin to use them to become a more independent learner who is able to reason and engage in new ideas of thought.  We strive to make learning an enjoyable engaging experience.  Each student is encouraged to develop their unique talents and skills at their pace through a structured daily routine within our school setting.  Prayer and faith are an important component of what we do. Our goal at St. Rose is to prepare our students for the riggers of a K-6 school experience while learning their source of all  understanding comes from God.   Most importantly, we believe that parents are a child's first teacher and we encourage continued family involvement in academic and faith formation throughout our program.   This is also a most exciting special year where students will prepare for the sacraments of First Penance and Holy Communion.
